Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Director of Nursing and Clinical Operations to lead our clinical support staff and to improve the performance, efficiency, and profitability of clinical services offered throughout the organization through the provision of effective methods, staff education, training and strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Director of Nursing or leader of multi-site teams or organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets standards, expectations, and vision for patient care delivery.
- Supervises scheduling of staff to ensure proper coverage of patients.
- Oversees the productivity of the nursing staff to meet the organization’s visit and quality expectations.
- Helps support and reinforce quality initiatives throughout the organization.
- Supervises regional and system-wide clinical managers who ensure consistency of service and practice throughout the network.
- Supports the practice, regional, and clinical managers in supervision of clinical staff.
- Leads the clinical services teams such as labs and x-ray.
- Defines policies and procedures, facilitating further training when necessary.
- Assesses and ensures appropriate skill levels are in place.
- Oversees the development and implementation of training programs.
- Ensures benchmarks are being used consistently and effectively by practice, regional, clinical, and functional managers.
- Monitors the use of outside grant funds for patient care.
- Directs the nursing and medical assistant student experience programs.
- Establishes clear and effective lines of communication.
- Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.
- Ensures that Community Clinic protects our IRS tax-exempt status (501(c)(3) at all times.
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing/Multistate license in state of residence.
- 3 years’ experience in administration and/or leadership in the health care industry.
- Knowledge of clinical practices in an ambulatory care, family practice setting.
- Experience in program management (leading leaders) preferred.
