Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking an experienced Eligibility Specialist to assist prenatal patients with applying for pregnancy Medicaid and other services. Responsibilities include assisting patients with online enrollment for services, gathering required documents, and providing follow up support. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Spanish and English required.
Responsibilities
- Assists prenatal patients with applying for pregnancy Medicaid.
- Explains application process and assists with gathering required documents.
- Provide follow up support including assisting patients with DHS Notices, Medicaid denials, and any other patient questions.
- Required completion of weekly, monthly and over 45 days Medicaid-pending reports.
- Provides patients with information on programs available from Community Clinic and other applicable resources.
- Maintains eligibility guidelines under the guidance of the Advocacy and Resource Manager.
- Ensures standard guidelines are used when dealing with ineligible and/or uncooperative patients.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Spanish and English ability is required.
- Proficient spelling ability in English is required.
- 1 years of experience with Medicaid/Medicare enrollment preferred.
