Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to work alongside a Sports Medicine Physician at clinics in Springdale, Rogers, and Siloam Springs. This position will assist in the clinic and provide administrative support to the Sports Medicine Physician. CMA or RMA is required. This is a full-time M-F position with no weekends. Preference given to candidates with Spanish or Marshallese language fluency
Key Responsibilities
- Accompanies and assists their assigned provider to various area clinics and hospitals.
- Ensures supply and medicine formularies are on par.
- Coordinates with hospital imaging departments.
- Schedules patient visits as needed, e.g. during provider’s hospital days.
- Coordinates referrals for internal and external services.
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical Assistant certification is required.
- Experience in a medical clinic is preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Marshallese strongly preferred.
- Able to drive to various clinics in Northwest Arkansas (mileage reimbursement available)
