Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy family practice clinic. MA or RMA certification plus 1 year of experience is required. Spanish language ability preferred. This is a full-time M-F position with no nights or weekends required. Schedule is 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-12 on Friday. Timeliness and consistency are essential to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- 1 year of experience in a medical clinic required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Timeliness and consistency in working the set schedule.
