What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Community Clinic?
Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy family practice clinic. CMA, RMA or CNA certification is required. Schedule is Monday-Friday 1 Saturday morning per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant certification required.
- Prior experience in a medical clinic strongly preferred
