Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a bilingual front desk Patient Coordinator for a school-based health clinic at Elmdale Elementary in Springdale, AR. Must have strong computer skills, excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task. Experience with medical terminology and insurance eligibility preferred. Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
Key Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic.
- Ensures patient information is entered into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and updated regularly for all patients.
- Ensures patient payments are collected, posted correctly to accounts and collections are balanced daily.
- Schedules patient appointments
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds required
- Computer and customer service skills required
- Medical terminology and insurance eligibility experience preferred
