Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Nurse for our Fayetteville Community Clinic, which provides quality, comprehensive primary health care. A current Arkansas nursing license and 1 years of pediatrics experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Administers treatments and medications proficiently and safely.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Refers patients as appropriate, interacting with referral sources in a professional and cordial manner.
- Triages unscheduled patients, telephone calls and other patient concerns using triage protocols and professional judgment as well as a warmth and concern for the patient’s wellbeing. Documents all patient interactions completely and promptly in the medical record.
- Refers patients to other providers as requested by clinicians; completes forms, maintains records of referral and follow-up of results and recommendations. Appropriately documents referral interactions in the medical record.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Arkansas (LPN or RN)
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
