We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team and help advance patient care in both clinical and research settings. 🗝️ Key Responsibilities:
-Provide comprehensive care to oncology and hematology patients, including assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
-Screen patients for eligibility and enrollment in clinical trials, ensuring they understand the process and benefits.
-Manage patient care throughout the continuum, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and follow-up care.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and biopsies.
-Prescribe medications, including chemotherapy agents, supportive care medications, and other treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Monitor patients’ progress and coordinate care with oncologists, hematologists, and other specialists.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, ensuring high levels of compassion and understanding.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with organizational protocols.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in oncology and hematology to ensure evidence-based practices are applied.
🎓 Qualifications:
-Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Experience in Oncology/Hematology nursing (preferably as a Nurse Practitioner).
- Strong knowledge of oncology and hematology clinical practices, chemotherapy, and other treatments.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
BLS/ACLS certification required.
