This position provides day-to-day leadership and ensures that all activities point back to and support our mission, vision and values. This position will be the face of the organization locally and represents Community Closet, Inc. at a variety of functions.
Actively networks to leverage the power of “us” in positioning the organization to continue its growth, expansion and support of the community.
Actively and creatively looks for new ways to collaborate with other organizations and continue to provide much needed local support.
The position is a physically active position (actively working store shifts and supporting staff) – they will be on their feet most of the day and actively lifting, bending, twisting and moving donations/merchandise.
Ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of retail experience, 7-10 years in the non-profit world (including senior management experience), as well as experience in operations and business administration.
ED is responsible for a staff of 13.3 FTE (9.5 FTE at Community Closet and 3.7 FTE at Curated Closet).
The starting salary is $70,000/year, DoE and we have a very competitive benefits package – health insurance, generous paid time off, paid holidays, and a very flexible schedule.
