Salary: Criteria within the collective bargaining agreement determine the position rank of non-teaching faculty (Educational Technicians). Based on the established rank, the salary range is between $28,732 - $31,672 for 10-month non-teaching (Educational Technicians) positions and $34,479 - $38,007 for 12-month non-teaching (Educational Technicians) positions. Ranking is determined by educational level and specific relevant experience.
General Summary: Prepare and set up studios, labs, classrooms for the film program. Support faculty and students in the Film Department.
Requirements
Associate degree or its equivalent, and a minimum of one year experience in film-related position.
Physical Requirements: May require physical exertion to move, lift, or carry heavy boxes or other heavy materials including stage scenery and ceramics materials weighing up to 50 pounds (with or without assistance); may be required to climb ladders up to 25 feet and work in high places in the theater; may be required to work with hand and power tools, and rig and pull rope for stage productions; may be required to stand for long periods of time; may be exposed to hazardous waste materials.

- Hold consistent open lab hours for students to work outside of class times.
- Facilitate and maintain the film equipment room.
- Work with department faculty and department head to research and order materials and supplies.
- Receive orders, unpack, stock, and inventory materials and supplies.
- Maintain safe storage of all film department materials and supplies.
- Facilitate test outs and check outs of all film equipment.
- Prepare equipment and materials for film instruction.
- Support instruction of film equipment for needs of full-time and part-time faculty.
- Answer questions from students and faculty regarding film equipment or equipment room policy.
- Maintain email communication for department needs.
- Perform other related duties as appropriate to support instruction and related activities in the department.
