POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of PTECH programs leads institutional efforts for oversight of the PTECH program in our partner K-12 schools and districts, ensuring quality, accountability, budget management, and day-to-day operations. The Director acts as the liaison for all PTECH programming in alignment with excellence in teaching and learning, equitable and accessible course and program development, credentialing of instructors, and collaboration with CE team, high school and district PTECH staff, and program department chairs, scheduling of courses and registration. The Director ensures alignment with the College strategic plan, paying particular attention to increasing student retention, matriculation, and completion.
The Director demonstrates a leadership and management style that creates an atmosphere of support, motivation, inclusion, and excellence among departments and direct reports through utilization of strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Director maintains consistency in the application of the College's mission and strategic plan at the program level by collaborating with departments and creating efficient systems with input from all partners both within the college and among our industry partners.
The Director must be flexible in their ability to work in different settings, traveling to the site high schools and districts as needed. Academic expertise, creative problem solving, innovation, leadership, and excellent communication skills are integral to be successful in this position.
  • Colorado residency is required; partially remote available.
  • This position is grant funded through June 2026, with no possibility of moving to general funding at that time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership:
  • Provides strategic leadership for the growth and data driven expansion of PTECH programming. Develops and implements PTECH programs effectively, focusing on the needs of each school and success of individual programs.
  • In consultation with the Dean of Academic Success, oversees and participates in the development of instructional processes for PTECH programming.
  • In consultation with the Dean of Academic Success and department chairs, responds to student and programmatic needs and inquiries especially as it relates to program quality and integrity.
  • Prepares and submits all related financial documents for PTECH related funds in a timely manner.
  • Serves on campus-wide committees relevant to strategic enrollment management, strategic planning, student learning outcomes, budget development and management, program review, program advisory groups, and others as required.
  • Establishes and sustains productive workforce partnerships to contribute to departmental industry advisory work as well as site placements and employment opportunities for students upon completion.
  • Facilitates promotion of the PTECH programs through events and other requests by CCA or partnered schools/districts.
  • Oversees operational procedures, division policies, quality assurance, and course planning for PTECH students. Measures and analyzes the impact of operations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains an understanding of discipline-specific PTECH program initiatives, research and practices pertaining to the areas of responsibility for this position, through continued study and participation in professional organizations.
  • Regularly represents the college effectively at all necessary partner meetings and events.
General:
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners
  • Partner with IT and Communications department as needed
  • Work closely with the Concurrent Enrollment team
  • Engage in exceptional problem-solving, information-finding, and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and flexibly
Project Management/Specialized:
  • Review, develop, and establish processes and guidelines as appropriate to increase efficiency and effectiveness of PTECH programming
  • Oversee and implement system-level changes or decisions that relate to PTECH programming


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming and working with/within a K-12 Setting
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and strategies.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and assessment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in education/higher education, curriculum design, instruction, organizational leadership, or related field
  • Higher Education experience
  • Project management experience



SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary is $70,527.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
