Teach a full range of aviation courses including aviation history, safety, air traffic control, aviation fundamentals, and air transportation. The position is under the supervision of the Dean, School of Business, Technology & Law.Pay Level: $1085 per credit hourBachelor's degree or commensurate aviation experience and/or credentials and licenses to instruct in air traffic control as an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) and/or flight operations as a pilot or certificated flight or ground instructor (CFI) or Aircraft Dispatcher. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the aviation field. Teaching experience in collegiate aviation, technical expertise in flight simulation or air traffic control simulation systems will be advantageous. Related aviation certifications, and distance learning experience preferred.
Aviation program marketing and promotion, student advisement and counseling, hosting aviation events on campus, teaching assigned courses, assisting in the design and update of program curricula, and other college committees as assigned, and working in conjunction with the Aviation Program Coordinator in overseeing the success of the program.
