What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communication & Media Studies, Faculty - 10 Month position at Community College of Baltimore County?
The Communication Arts Department at CCBC, with a collaborative team of full-time Communication Studies faculty, is seeking one ten (10) month faculty to reach Communication Studies courses who show enthusiasm for working together to provide strong curriculum and pedagogy to our diverse student population. Fifteen contact hours of instruction, five office hours, college and community service and ongoing professional development are required. The position is located on the Catonsville and/or Owings Mills locations but may require teaching classes at other locations scheduled during days, evenings, or online.

Master’s degree or higher in Speech, Speech Communication, Communication, Communication Studies or a related subject with significant relevant coursework required. Two (2) years of full-time or Four (4) years part-time teaching experience. Teaching experience at the community college level and online teaching experience preferred.
Prepare and teach Fundamental of Communication course. There may be opportunities to teach other courses such as: Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Business and Professional Speaking, based on faculty experience and interest.
Maintain a strong presence by actively participating in department initiatives, college wide committees, and other college work groups.
Support student engagement activities such as the student newspaper, NCA Honor society, clubs, etc.
Remain current in the discipline through professional development opportunities.
Salary : $61,200 - $84,714
