Class Description
The purpose of this class is to serve as a cross functional web marketing generalist on the web team, assisting with the creation and maintenance of the content presented on the college website. This includes working with subject matter experts throughout the college in order to ensure the content presented on the website is accurate, meets our audiences' needs and conforms to CCBC's web content standards and marketing strategies, as well as ADA guidelines for web accessibility.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing or related field and 1year of full-time or 2 years of part-time online content development and publishing experience required.
Familiar with content management systems and proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Acrobat Pro required. Experience in higher education setting preferred.
Certifications :
- None required at new hire
- Within first 2 years of CCBC employment, achieve :
- Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and Web Accessibility specialist (WAS)
- World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Introduction to Web Accessibility certificate.
- Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and / or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale .

McDaniel College has extended its Educator's Legacy Scholarship (ELS) program to CCBC benefits-eligible employees. CCBC is among the inaugural community college partners.
Children of ANY current full-time benefits-eligible CCBC employee with at least four years of continuous full-time employment are eligible to receive a scholarship valued at up to $100,000 over four (4) years.
