Prepares, teaches and evaluates courses, seeks continuous improvement in teaching methodology and student centered learning. Remains current in Physical Therapy discipline; maintains scheduled availability to students; develops an individual professional development plan; participates with other faculty in developing and managing courses, curricula and academic policy; contributes to the success of the learning college. Supervises students in Lab, Clinic and Clinical settings as well as Outreach events and represents the program to the public in marketing outreach.
Must hold a valid Maryland State Massage Therapist license, and two years of working experience in the massage therapy profession.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, follow written or oral directions and work both cooperatively and independently. Must have the strength to lift 45 lbs. and the ability to move massage equipment. Adjunct Faculty may sometimes need to work evenings, weekends and attend Community Outreach events.
