What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proctor - Part Time position at Community College of Baltimore County?
The purpose of this class is to provide professional level administrative support services to assigned department or program.
Associates degree from an accredited college. Two years of part time clerical or in-office customer service experience is required. Previous experience working in a student services department in a community college setting is preferred. Access to reliable transportation is required in order to administer placement tests to students in local high schools and other facilities. And/or a valid driver's license in good standing with violation points less than five (5).Must pass College Board and other vendor proctor certification assessments within sixty (60) days of hire. Onsite training for certification assessments is provided. Applicants cannot be enrolled as an undergraduate student at any time, at any institution while employed in this position.

- Greet and respond to electronic, in person or telephone inquiries from students and visitors in a timely manner.
- Schedule, record attendance, verify identity, and explain departmental and specific test rules to each examinee.
- Secure and prepare test materials for return to the designated party.
- Comply with the written directions and review and/or obtain clarification when needed of the testing requirements for each test administered in the Testing Center.
- Provide testing accommodations to students with disabilities who are approved for such services per the written directive of the Office of Disability Support Services
- Uphold testing room procedures designed to maintain test integrity and perform security checks regularly throughout the day.
- Perform basic technical support to fix issues related to the technology within the Testing Center and troubleshoot minor technical issues during the testing process as per established policies.
- Prepare test materials and administer the placement test on campus and at local high schools and other facilities
- Communicate any instances of academic dishonesty, major technical issues and student/faculty concerns to the Testing Center Administrator on duty.
- Maintain clean and safe Testing Center environment and perform daily Testing Center opening and closing procedures.
- Attend an annual all staff recertification training.
