The part time adjunct Senior Programs Instructor teaches college level non-credit courses to students 60 that focus on art, computers, history, politics and events, humanities and culture, languages, and writing. These courses are opportunities for social and cultural enrichment and have no homework and testing requirements.
Classes are offered during the day at Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex, Owings Mills and Hunt Valley campuses along with senior centers and retirement communities throughout Baltimore County. Courses are offered primarily in-person along with some Zoom classes.
Applicants must provide a summary of what they would like to teach along with the area of the county where they would be willing to work and preferred teaching modality.
Instructors should have experience teaching and have an expert knowledge of the topic they are proposing to teach. Instructors will be required to complete all forms and documentation related to the course and all documentation required by the college.
Academic degrees or professional credentials in a related discipline preferred.
Must be a subject matter expert.
Computer proficiency preferred.
Experience teaching or training in an adult setting preferred.
