What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Liaison-Advanced Manufacturing: Process Operator (grant funded for 3 years) position at Community College of Beaver County?
The Community Liaison-Advanced Manufacturing: Process Operator reports to the Dean, School of Industrial Technology and Continuing Eduation and will lead the strategic development, coordination, and implementation of activities, initiatives, and programs to market the Advanced Manufacturing: Process Operator program to potential students and achieve enrollment goals to ensure the long-term sustainability of the program.
The Community Liaison-Advanced Manufacturing: Process Operator is responsible for forging and nurturing partnerships with schools, businesses, industries, and community organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or familiarity in marketing Manufacturing/Process industry programs and have demonstrated successful achievement of goals.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree acceptable
- Minimum 3 years of program marketing experience in Manufacturing/Process Industries preferred; Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Operator/Technician or working closely with Process Operators/Technician acceptable.
- General knowledge and familiarity with Process Industries (ex. plastics, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, nuclear, steel, food and beverage, power generation, composites, oil and gas, water/wastewater).
- General knowledge and familiarity with Process Operator/Technician roles and responsibilities in Process Industries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of implementing programs and training.
- Ability to administer, develop, and monitor programs.
- Project management experience, utilizing planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated & through experience and/or education, the ability to coordinate service delivery systems, and ability to connect to industry relationships.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environments.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing including greeting and directing clients and guests in a professional and consistent manner and understanding and communicating programs, enrollment and eligibility processes.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from students/potential students, industry partners, Advanced Manufacturing: Process Operator stakeholders, and members of the business community.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other people/organizations.
- Ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of ages, gender, nationalities, and cultures.
- General case management experience is desired and the ability to effectively work with a diverse population.
