Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor of Culinary will hold a faculty appointment and have academic and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Community College of Rhode Island. The newly developed Culinary Craftsmanship program is a two-year associate degree program with a one-year stackable certificate in Culinary Essentials. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for the overall operation and educational quality of the program and will have the opportunity to also serve as program coordinator.

Departmental Support:
- Assist in developing scheduling for the program including staffing of adjuncts as needed.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide activities.

- Participate in the hiring process of additional faculty for the department
- Assure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage and perform ordering for all necessary supplies for classrooms within department.
- Assist in managing budgeting and other fiscal responsibilities.
- Develop and implement curriculum to maintain industry and academic standards and expectations.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Minimum of 3 years industry and/or culinary teaching experience
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification
Salary : $59,000 - $64,000
