Job Summary
The IT Communications & Digital Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the IT department and the rest of the organization. This position is responsible for crafting clear and effective communications about IT initiatives, ensuring CCRI’s website reflects accurate and up-to-date information regarding IT services and projects, ensuring accessibly is compliant, supporting the CIO and acting as the primary liaison between the IT and Marketing departments. Duties and Responsibilities IT Communications :
- Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies for the IT department, including announcements, updates, and presentations.
- Managing and monitoring IT social media.
- Ensure the CCRI IT website and helpdesk site adheres to ADA Title II guidelines and WCAG standards. This includes working with helpdesk staff and content managers.
- Liaise with relevant IT staff to integrate accessibility testing into the IT development and content creation processes to ensure that all new digital content is compliant from the outset.
- Create engaging content explaining complex technical information in a clear and concise manner for non-technical audiences.
- Manage internal communication channels to keep employees informed about IT news, policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT project teams to gather information and create communication plans for new initiatives and system changes.
- Assist in the development of IT-related documentation and training materials.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of IT communications and make recommendations for improvement.
