SCOPE OF WORK : Leads and manages NHTI’s marketing and communications department in its mission to market college programs and services and provide a positive and consistent brand for the college. Gathers, assimilates, and develops marketing materials for student enrollment and positive promotion of the College. This position reports to the president of NHTI – Concord's Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Develops and implements a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy in alignment with the college’s strategic plan and in collaboration with the president and other campus leaders.
- Creates and designs the production of advertisements, press releases, digital marketing, annual reports, brochures, catalogs, newsletters, forms, etc. in consultation with faculty and staff.
- Establishes, nurtures, and monitors all aspects of the college brand, including style manual and use of graphic design and forms templates.
- Leads the college’s social media strategy and content development through all social media channels.
- Manages the marketing budget, including competitive bids and production quality and timelines of outside vendors, marketing agencies, production teams, and media partners.
- Creates, maintains, and updates the design and content of the college website.
- Develops promotional strategies and materials for college events, such as admissions, alumni, and fundraising events in collaboration with faculty and staff.
- Attends and shoots pictures and videos of on-campus and off-campus college events and on-campus community events, including occasional, limited evenings and weekends.
- Creates and disseminates videos, photographs, and graphics.
- Assigns administrative access to the college website, social media networks, and texting platforms and monitors usage.
- Builds and maintains positive relations with faculty and staff, local media, and business partners.
- Serves as the college’s Public Information Officer, responding to media outlets, community partners, and others to promote the college’s educational mission, its programs and services, and its overall value.
- Creates, manages, and supports internal communications, including networked TVs, campus signage, and the NHTI early alert system.
- Utilizes assessment tools, such as Google Analytics, to evaluate and revise marketing initiatives.
- Collaborates with the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) and the marketing departments of other CCSNH colleges to achieve shared goals.
- Complies with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic arts, public relations, or business administration.
Experience : Six (6) years' related experience, which may include, but is not limited to, supervisory, marketing, business, and project management experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Formal education in marketing, branding, and graphic design. Knowledge and experience with HTML and Adobe Creative Suite (with strong emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator). Familiarity with MAC environment, CMS, CSS and social media. Ability to graphically design visually attractive material to consistently enhance the college’s brand. Ability to record and edit video and audio.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS : Considerable knowledge of marketing principles and practices, including branding and e-marketing. Considerable knowledge of and ability to effectively employ the techniques of planning, composing, and editing diverse informational and promotional material, including text, graphics, photos, and videos. Considerable knowledge of written and oral English, creative concept work, the printing industry, and internet and social media production. Knowledge of public relations and communications. Ability to seek out pertinent and newsworthy information. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
