What are the responsibilities and job description for the GBCC Full-Time Admissions & Enrollment Specialist III position at Community College System of New Hampshire?
This position will remain open until filled, or at the discretion of Great Bay Community College.
CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
Scope of work: Provides administrative, technical, and coordination functions in support of the GBCC welcome center, supporting both prospective and current students in providing general admissions, financial aid, student accounts, and registrar information and guidance. This position reports to the Vice President of Student Success and Enrollment Management at Great Bay Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Oversees all aspects of the College’s Welcome Center operation including leading, guiding and training staff, assigning job duties and work schedules, monitoring and evaluating work activities to ensure operational efficiencies and compliance.
• Provides direct services and supports staff in responding to inquiries and providing general information related to admissions, financial aid, student accounts, and registration (including email, online payment plans, online admissions application, FAFSA, etc.).
• Works with Welcome Center Staff staff to refer elevated or complex financial aid, admissions, student payment, or registration matters to the appropriate CCSNH and college resources.
• Works closely with all Student Services departments ensuring the Welcome Center has the most current and correct information and delivers it accurately and maintains and updates an operational handbook for the Welcome Center staff.
• Keeps data on the Welcome Center performance and adjusts as needed as well as assessing the efficiency of the Welcome Center operations.
• Assists in the development of and/or improvement of policies and procedures for offices involved with the enrollment of students.
• Develops and manages the budget for the One Stop with oversight by the VPSSEM.
• Assists at college events that support the enrollment of students at the College.
• Serves on/or leads college committees, as assigned by the Vice President.
• Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in education, business administration/management, public administration, educational administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in financial aid, admissions, registration, or other related student services working with diverse populations in an educational, financial or service institution. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
