SCOPE OF WORK: Implements and maintains the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) across CCSNH colleges with responsibility for managing a central repository for transfer credit applications, assessments for prior learning (PLA) and industry recognized credentials for college credit, as well as developing and maintaining an interactive platform for credit requirements to support planning for degrees and certificates. This role is pivotal in supporting the enrollment of incoming students by ensuring students, faculty, and staff have access to the most accurate and up-to-date transfer information.

This position reports to the CCSNH Vice-Chancellor.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Serves as the CCSNH administrator of the Transfer Evaluation System (TES), with responsibility including developing workflows, maximizing functionality, and maintaining course equivalencies within TES.
  • Gathers prior learning assessments (PLA), industry recognized credentials (IRC), transfers credits and course equivalencies data for academic program pathways within the TES platform and maintains updated and accurate transfer guides, articulation agreements, and course equivalencies within the Transfer Evaluation System (TES).
  • Works with the college academic leadership and registrars to maintain accuracy of the transfer credit database and degree pathways within the TES platform.
  • Creates and maintains accurate and detailed documentation of processes and procedures for TES.
  • Oversees the transfer evaluation email box; responds to questions/requests from staff and students pertaining to transfer evaluation, student audit adjustments, and exception management in the degree audit system.
  • Monitors transfer practices across CCSNH to ensure compliance with CCSNH and state policies.
  • Engages with faculty to support the assessment of curricular equivalencies and coordinates TES strategy meetings to support utilization and adoption by colleges.
  • Works across colleges to evaluate the TES platform effectiveness and to identify areas of improvement.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new and emerging TES features and functionality to ensure CCSNH’s utilization reflects current capabilities of the platform.
  • Develops and conducts user training for college admissions staff in the applications and functionality of TES.
  • Complies with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years’ experience as an academic advisor, admissions specialist, registrar, academic program coordinator, with experience in project management. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Desired Qualifications: Registrar, admissions, and/or academic advising experience within in higher education. Demonstrated experience working within Ellucian’s Banner general student & Degree Works. Knowledge of the Federal Educational Rights to Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (FERPA). Familiarity with the TES platform.

License/ Certification: Valid drivers’ license or access to statewide transportation.

Ability to develop and implement user training. Knowledge of business processes analysis and redesign. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and work effective as a member of a team. Ability to work independently and to exercise sound professional judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team. Ability to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the management.
