Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide patient observation to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Support clients in community integration and participation in social activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility or transportation of clients.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisory staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to assist with heavy lifting and physical support tasks.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and care practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus.
