Community Compounding Pharmacy (CCP) is a compounding pharmacy, which is a pharmacy that custom makes medication to fit patients’ specific needs. We are a retail pharmacy that specializes in naturopathic and integrative compounded medications. CCP is one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the Northwest. We ship not only to patients in Oregon, but we regularly fill and ship compounded prescriptions to patients across the U.S. In addition to being a large retail pharmacy, CCP is developing and expanding to include other services, education, and conferences to assist other small pharmacies.

Position Overview
The Supervising Manager is responsible for the Fulfillment Team and function (shipping filled prescriptions to patients), the Customer Care Team (CCT) and function (patient customer service and prescription processing), oversees CCP’s facilities needs, and oversees the purchasing, receiving and inventory processes. The Supervising Manager is a member of CCP’s Executive Team.
Primary Responsibilities
The essential functions of the Supervising Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the fulfillment function (shipping filled prescriptions to patients), which includes oversight of the fulfillment processes and standards to ensure that the fulfillment function operates smoothly, timely and efficiently.
- Directing and supervising the Fulfillment Team Manager, including hiring, performance management, evaluation, and coaching; and oversight of scheduling and training.
- Managing the customer care function (patient customer service and prescription processing), which includes oversight of CCT processes and standards to ensure that the customer care function operates smoothly and efficiently and provides CCP customers with excellent customer service.
- Directing and supervising the Customer Care Team Manager, including hiring, performance management, evaluation, and coaching; and oversight of scheduling and training.
- Regularly performing the work of a Fulfillment Associate and a CCT Pharmacy Technician to understand all aspects of their jobs and to assist during peak times or short-staff days.
- Facilitating good communication and coordination between the CCT and Fulfillment Team.
- Evaluating CCP facility needs and coordinating their maintenance and repair.
- Managing and overseeing the purchasing, receiving and inventory processes including purchase order creation and reconciliation.
- Supporting the other Executive Team members with management of or participation on company-wide or multi-department projects.
- Staying current on required documentation and training.

HIPAA Requirements:
The Supervising Manager may be exposed to protected health information (PHI) in the course of their duties and must handle PHI in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and subsequent related laws and CCP policies. Applying the minimum necessary standard of HIPAA, the designated record sets to which this employee may have access include: PHI via the electronic business systems used by CCP. All employees are required to read the content of these records only to the extent needed to accomplish the assigned task.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active, in good standing, Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy or be able to obtain one within one month of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Five or more years of business management experience and transferable management skills are required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Three or more years of fulfillment experience at the supervisory level are preferred.
- Three or more years of customer service experience at the supervisory level are preferred.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Purchasing, receiving and inventory management experience are preferred.
- Facilities management experience preferred.
- Active driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance is required

- Ability to learn and effectively utilize pharmacy and other business software systems.
- Ability to perform accurate work following prescribed processes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Physical and Mental Demands
- This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds is frequently required while lifting up 50 pounds may be required occasionally.
- Dexterity and use of hands is required continuously for manipulating objects, typing, and use of a mouse and computer keyboard.
- Visual acuity to allow for reading a computer screen, drug labels, directions, operating procedures and instructions is frequently necessary.
- Talking and hearing is required frequently.
- Concentrating is continuously required.

Staff members must meet immunization requirements as stated in CCP’s immunization policy and state and federal guidelines.
