Job Summary
In collaboration with clinic team, the Medical Director, and the clinic Board of Directors, the Director’s purpose is to attend to the administrative systems and processes of the clinic to assure high quality, efficient services are provided to our clients. This includes managing the non-clinical staff and volunteers in the clinic, developing strong relationships in the community to forge partnerships with other organizations and to promote the services of the clinic. The Director is also responsible for fundraising activities. She/he works with the Board of Directors to create and sustain a long-term vision for the clinic.

Duties
· Demonstrate effective leadership, teaching and collaboration skills

· With involvement of the clinic team and Board of Directors, leads strategic planning efforts to identify both long-term and short-term goals for the clinic; monitors and evaluates progress toward goals.

· Assure appropriate policies and procedures are in place and current to support clinic operations

· Maintain open, transparent and collaborative communications with the medical Director, Clinic Nurse Manager, Administrative Assistant, and other members of the team, including volunteers

· Build and sustain strong relationships with community organizations, including but not limited to:

o Southwest Community Action Program (SWCAP)

o Upland Hills Health

o Iowa County and Lafayette County Departments of Health

o The Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics

o Southwest Technical College

· Manage clinic financial operations and provide oversight of the financial health of the clinic, in collaboration with the Board Treasurer.

o Assure adequate separation of duties for financial tasks, adequate and functional internal controls, and proper maintenance of financial information.

o Assist with development and monitoring of operating budget, including the identification and procurement of needed resources and supplies, including technology needs and resources

o Monitor compliance with documentation retention policies

o Manage the tax return process, with the assistance from the Board Treasurer.

· Prepares written reports as indicated, including an Annual Report of clinic accomplishments and opportunities. Collaboratively creates a monthly report to the Board of Directors.

· Attend to fundraising needs, including but not limited to:

o Maintaining relationships with major donors

o Applying for known grants, seeking and applying for new grant sources

o Managing the annual appeal process

o Spearheading the annual clinic celebration dinner and auction.

· Assure all donations are deposited, recorded and acknowledged appropriately.

· Participate in identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement efforts.

· Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and evaluation of team members and volunteers

· Oversee volunteer program and assure documentation for staff and volunteers is obtained and appropriately maintained (e.g., confidentiality statements, background checks, licensure documentation as necessary, liability coverage, TB test results)

· Promote a collaborative environment that results in high quality care and satisfaction of patients, staff, providers, and volunteers

· Identify conflict and employ healthy and effective conflict resolution strategies

· Collaborates with Nurse Manager to assure staffing needs are met

· Attend to volunteer appreciation activities

· Assure clinic website is current and functioning correctly

· Maintain social media presence

Qualifications
· Prior experience in managing an office. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred

· Demonstrated leadership skills that include high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skill, and effective conflict resolution skills

· Ability to build collaborative, respectful relationships

· Proficiency in systems and software necessary to perform responsibilities, and a willingness to learn new systems

· Willingness to take initiative in promoting Community Connections Free Clinic and its services

· Uses data to evaluate the overall success of the clinic and to identify areas for improvement

· Ability to foster and maintain orderly workspace, files, and records such that any team member can function efficiently in the shared environment

· Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish strongly desired

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
