What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Manager position at COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS INC?
Community Connections Inc. is looking for a Transportation Manager to join our Transportation Services team based in South Yarmouth, MA. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities by coordinating all transportation services for the individuals we serve. You will aid Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence and enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for someone with a commitment to compassion, safety and serving the community.
What You'll Do:
- Directly supervise transportation services drivers, monitors, coordinators, and relief staff
- Interview, hire, train new employees, plan, assign, assess performance of employees
- Oversee the daily operations of Transportation Services
- Be responsible for achieving the program’s financial goals
- Ensure the safety/health of consumers and handle emergency situations appropriately
- Ensure that service remains in compliance with all regulatory bodies
- Communicate and coordinate transportation services for each individual served
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant human services field preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in transportation services
- Supervisory and program management experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Experience managing a budget
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Massachusetts CDL driver’s license preferred but not required
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen required
