Summary
Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C) is a non-profit resource and referral agency located in Louisville, KY that provides a comprehensive approach to coordinating child care services in the local community. For over 50 years, 4-C has supported and enhanced the child care industry and continues its tradition of supporting families by coordinating a vision of a high-quality early childhood care system available to all children and families.
Our agency is currently looking for a Career Navigator to join our team. The Career Navigator will recruit and connect job seekers with the resources, services and credentials they need to find and maintain employment as an early childhood educator. This position will work closely with candidates and potential employers to facilitate the successful placement of a fully qualified early childhood educator in a child care center by assisting the candidate in completing all required hiring needs, as well as exploring continuing education opportunities beyond those minimum requirements.
Regular work hours are Monday ? Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with a 35-hour work week. This position will also have occasional requirements for after-hours availability.

Duties
Recruit, onboard, train and support candidates seeking employment as an early childhood educator in the local area by:
- Actively marketing and recruiting the workforce development program to potential candidates and prospective employers.
- Performing a needs assessment and conducting intake interviews with individuals to determine what, if any barriers exist to prevent their employment.
- Assisting each candidate in developing an action plan based on their individual barriers, needs and goals.
- Assisting candidates in working through their action plans to successfully obtain of the necessary employment items (high school diplomas, college transcripts, background checks, reference letters, resumes, etc.)
- Working with child care centers to place fully vetted candidates for open positions in their centers.
- Assisting candidates in achieving advanced education opportunities (CDA) if they are interested in furthering their qualifications to work in the field.
- Reaching out to program graduates to track progress and successes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, social work, or related field, preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of work experience in workforce development or human resources management focusing on recruitment/retention activities or in direct business fields working in hiring and maintaining staff.
- Must maintain participant confidentiality and perform assigned job duties with a professional attitude at all times.
- Must be willing to work flexible work hours as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Work and Excel), Gmail (email and calendar functions).
- Must have excellent written and oral communication, data management and organization skills.
- Must possess high energy and an overall positive outlook.
