What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSP TECHNICIAN position at Community Correction Association?
OVERVIEW:
The CSP Technician oversees a crew of up to 5 maximum offenders on short term, manual labor, projects for local areas. The CSP Supervisor provides direct supervision of assigned offenders at selected sites, so as to assure for positive completion of assignment and accurate accountability for assigned offenders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide direct offender supervision for all assigned to the CSP program including evaluations, orientation, assignment and scheduling matters.
To review daily activities of staff and provide direction on the same.
To provide management assistance on personnel matters as they relate to assigned program.
To assure all personnel policy and procedures follow agency policy.
FACILITY OPERATION:
Assure all equipment is properly stored and secured when not in use.
Assure all equipment is properly maintained per operating instructions and warranties.
Assure participants are properly instructed on use of equipment and safety requirements.
Assure necessary tools and supplies are transported and returned to sites.
PROGRAM/ACTIVITIES:
Maintain accurate roster or participants and their assigned schedules.
Transport to and from site through internal Agency vehicle schedule.
Assign specific tasks, so as to meet requirements of completion.
Oversee actual work performance and positive completion of the same.
Complete Work Site Reports and Sign In/Out Verifications and submit to Program Director.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral problems.
GENERAL:
Assure all assignments are properly completed, as per instructions.
Communicate with on-site personnel on additional requirements.
Evaluate and recommend further activity related to the task area.
Perform other duties, as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To provide direct supervision of assigned offenders at selected sites, so as to assure for positive completion of task and accurate accountability of assigned offenders.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that doesn’t preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.
Maintain a record which does not preclude the employee from working with offenders as required by regulatory agencies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and email or related software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
