School Based Crisis Specialist
Location : Ste. Genevieve, Perry, and Madison Counties, MO - " Home base" will be dependent upon candidate's living location, however, the Perryville office will be the agencies preference.
Salary Range : $40,000 - 50,000 / year dependent upon relevant education / experience / licensure.
Schedule : Typical schedule is Monday - Friday within normal school hours (7 : 30-4 / 8-4 : 30) - Some evening or weekend hours may be required dependent upon agency need.

Job Summary : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Based Crisis Specialist to provide direct clinical assessment and emergency response services in schools and office settings. This role involves conducting initial assessments, making appropriate referrals, and ensuring clients receive the necessary services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and crisis intervention, with a passion for supporting students and families in need.
This is a new position to help directly support our School Based Therapist in our local school districts.
Key Responsibilities :
- Direct Mental Health Services : Provide direct mental health services, including thorough initial assessments, screenings, and testing to guide referrals.
- Crisis Response : Respond to school crisis emergencies, office, and mobile crisis response requests as needed in Ste. Genevieve, Perry, and Madison counties.
- Referral Coordination : Determine and provide internal and external referrals to appropriate programs, ensuring clients receive the necessary services.
- Intervention and Disposition : Evaluate and determine appropriate interventions and referrals, assist with hospitalization, coordinate with other agencies, and complete the involuntary commitment process when necessary.
- Scheduling and Documentation : Schedule therapy appointments, intakes, treatment, and psychiatric appointments for clients. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and other federal or state program standards.
- Client Transportation : Transport clients in agency and / or personal vehicle as needed to meet program requirements.
- Follow-Up and Engagement : Make follow-up calls to engage clients and families, facilitating the recovery process.
