The Community Counseling Center (CCC) is a mental health safety net contributor and preventative care provider of professional, affordable psychotherapy for the economically disadvantaged and under-insured residents of the Central Coast. CCC offers three distinct therapy programs to support psychological healing and emotional well-being.
Job Description
The Clinical Program Manager will provide supervision and operational oversight for Community Counseling Center (CCC) programs and services. The CPM must be comfortable supervising counseling and Administrative personnel and implementing procedures and practices in program delivery that meet ethical standards and are aligned with the agency mission. The CPM will report to the Executive Director and Clinical Committee Chairperson. The headquarters and clinic located downtown San Luis Obispo will be the primary workspace for the CPM. Minimal travel is required to community-based satellite offices and K-12 sites throughout the county.
Responsibilities include:
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to associate/intern and practicum level therapists to maintain program standards and quality.
Coordinate and monitor licensed and pre-licensed counselor case loads, flow of intakes/ assessments, and clinical volunteer utilization, so that clients are seen in a timely manner and appropriately matched to counselor skill levels.
Ensure adherence to clinical standards, quality standards and agency mission
Support Clinical Committee Chair and take responsibility for the creation of meeting agendas, policy procedure, in-service training, and continuing education opportunities sponsored by the agency.
Coordinate with the Clinical Committee to review and update policies and procedures as necessary.
Serve as advice and counsel on clinical standards and agency procedures to the Executive Director, CCC staff and clinical supervisors.
Assist the Executive Director and Clinical Committee in volunteer screening, selection and placement.
Serve as training and workshop coordinator. Identify needs, plan and schedule as appropriate:
Orientation and training for new pre-licensed and licensed applicants
In-service training workshops for CCC volunteer counselors
CEU workshops for clinical professionals in the community
Assist Administrative staff and Executive Director with program data required for monthly reports and grant applications, including outcomes measures and surveys.
Coordinate counseling services between partner agencies to ensure most appropriate client services.
Qualifications
Required:
Current clinical license PhD, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC experience for at least 5 years
Certification to supervise PhD, AMFT, and/or ASW pre-licensed therapists and recent supervisory experience
Clinical program management experience, minimum 2 years.
Professional liability insurance.
Demonstrated leadership and organization skills and communication ability to lead a large team and heavy workload effectively.
Desired:
Supervisory experience in social service agency or clinical administration
Experience coordinating and collaborating with local mental health organizations
Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking
CCC supervisory experience with Clinical Committee participation
