Description of Position
Helping those during life’s most acute and disruptive moments due to psychiatric illness and substance use / abuse requires providers who are sensitive, skillful, resilient and hopeful. As a clinician supporting the Mobile Crisis Intervention team, you’ll be working with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, supervisors, psychiatric staff, nurses and those with lived experience. You will look to best practices as you assist with crises in the emergency departments and medical floors by evaluating and recommending solution-based treatment options. The Mobile Crisis Intervention supports the resiliency, wellness, and recovery of all Members to whom it provides services and integrates mental health, substance use disorder, and wellness and recovery principles and practices across the service delivery model.
Responsibilities Include
- Emergency bio / psycho / social diagnostic evaluations and recommendations of care
- Flexible modes of service delivery
- Mitigate risk and engage in safety planning to support the client and family
- Participate in case consults with multidisciplinary teams
- Assist in referring individuals and families to appropriate services along the continuum of care
