Key Responsibilities
The Peer Support Specialist will be responsible for:
* Providing one-on-one and group support to individuals who have experienced mental health challenges
* Assisting in creating a Wellness Recovery Action Plan
* Providing emotional support and guidance to clients
* Helping develop problem-solving techniques and social skills
* Maintaining accurate records of client progress
* Attending team meetings and participating in ongoing professional development
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with current certification as a Peer Support Specialist. Previous experience in a mental health setting is highly desirable, but not essential.
