About this role: The Patient Care Coordinator is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. This individual is a team player and brings their best to our office to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. This role is primarily responsible for greeting patients, checking patients in, presenting treatment plans, scheduling and confirming future appointments, and handling incoming phone calls. The patient care coordinator will assist patients with questions and needs ensuring they receive the best service possible.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm and inviting tone when fronting questions from new and existing patients on the telephone
- Exhibit a welcoming appearance and attitude towards new and existing patients and guests in the lobby
- Accurate capture and entry of patient demographic and insurance information into an electronic patient health program
- Accurate verification of dental insurance benefits prior to treatment plan creation and presentation
- Creation and presentation of the treatment plan, with effective communication of all treatment options
- Resourcefulness while aiding patients in arranging finances to receive necessary treatment
- Responsible handling of financial receipts and cash in accordance with practice standards
- Consistent ability to ensure proper documentation is signed and input into the electronic health record
- Capability of maintaining rapport with multiple patients at once during times of high demand
- Capability of problem-solving with regard to accounting and clinical questions from patients
- Maintenance of lobby, front office, and other facility areas according to practice standards
- Effective communication with management and co-workers regarding improvements and suggestions
- Successful completion of internal training programs
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic dental knowledge or the ability to learn
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative
- Excellent work ethic and attendance record
- Dental Experience is required

Schedule and Location:
- Shifts and location can change based on the primary location hired for (Mon-Sun: 8am-10pm ET)
