Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our direct primary care healthcare team. The FNP will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Provide treatment for various conditions, including but not limited to managing chronic diseases and acute illnesses.
- Perform procedures such as catheter care, suturing, specimen collection processing, and phlebotomy.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Offer specialized care in areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency response (ventilate and dialyze when necessary).
- Educate patients and families about health management strategies and preventive care.
- Stay updated with the latest medical practices and advancements in family medicine.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is essential.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in family practice or primary care.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
