About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Instructing/coaching students in

Program Design & Implementation:
-
Create structured training programs tailored to sport-specific and individual needs.

Integrate strength training, plyometrics, speed/agility drills, and conditioning components.

Speed Development:
-
Teach proper sprinting mechanics, acceleration, deceleration, and multi-directional movement.

Incorporate drills and techniques to improve footwork, explosiveness, and quickness.

Strength & Power Training:
-
Instruct safe and effective lifting techniques (e.g., squats, deadlifts, Olympic lifts).

Progress athletes through strength cycles to build muscle, improve endurance, and increase power output.

Mobility & Injury Prevention:

Include dynamic warm-ups, mobility drills, and recovery strategies in training.

Start Date: June 16th
Contract: Seasonal
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6 am to 11 am
FTE: 0.5 (20 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits
Starting Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour, depending upon your experience with Community Ed
No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching weightlifting and speed training
