We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Wrestling Coaches to lead and develop our STMA Community Education wrestling program.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for training young athletes of varying skill levels, developing effective practice plans, and instilling discipline and teamwork. Key duties include teaching wrestling techniques, preparing athletes for competitions, and ensuring a safe and motivating environment. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring athletes are essential. Previous coaching experience and a deep understanding of the sport are required.
Age ranges of students vary by assignment/session, as discussed at the time of hire, but we are hiring for sessions to coach age 4-kindergarten, grades 1 & 2, and/or grades 3-6.
Start Date: Vary by assignment, Mondays, starting November 4, 2024; Tuesdays, starting November 12th, 2024; and/or Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting November 7th, 2024
Contract: Seasonal
Schedule: Schedule varies per activity, classes are held after school and/or evenings
FTE: varies per session
Salary & Benefits
Starting Rate: $25.00 per hour for coaches, $15.00 for student aides
No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching.
