Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for working with adult students with disabilities in meeting the secondary transition, academic, and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports of services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education teacher or bus service personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Start Date: February 17, 2025
Contract: 183 days
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
this schedule includes 1 hour on the bus and 6 hours in school
FTE: 0.4875 (19.5 hours per week)
Salary & Benefits
Starting Rate: $19.84-$20.30 per hour

Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and either two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of the Paraeducator; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred. Health tasks will be delegated by a Registered Nurse, training will be provided.
