Compass - School Age Childcare, Group Leader
Compass is Alexandria Community Education’s school-age care program, providing before- and after-school, non-school day, and summer care for students PreK–5th Grade.
The Summer Compass program is held at Woodland Elementary School and the Early Education Center, where students and staff:
- Embark on exciting field trips across Minnesota.
- Enjoy the Shenanigan's indoor playground.
- Participate in engaging activities like 4-H, gardening, gym time, and structured activities.
- Spend plenty of time outside for fun and exploration!
Perfect for: Experienced individuals 18 or college students pursuing Education.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience with PreK–5th Grade students or enrolled in Education-related studies.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Physically active and engaged.
Essential Functions:
- Lead activities and provide leadership to participants.
- Plan and prepare activities that meet program goals.
- Foster a warm, caring, and safe environment.
- Communicate with parents and staff as needed.
- Attend staff meetings.
Schedule:
- The program runs June 2–August 22, 2025 (Closed June 19 & July 4).
- Full-Time Options: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:00, 8:30–4:30, or 9:00–5:00.
Compensation: $17.34/hour.
