Day Center - Dietary Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in a nurturing environment, such as a nursing home or healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that participants receive nutritious and appealing meals tailored to their dietary needs. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department and enhancing the overall dining experience for our participants.

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation and food production according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals to participants in a timely manner, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Help with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations within the dietary department.
• Provide support during special events or activities that involve food service.
• Follow all sanitation protocols to maintain a clean working environment.

Skills

• Experience in meal preparation or food production is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dietary aide responsibilities within the food industry is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, particularly within a nursing home setting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with participants and staff members.
• A passion for helping others and contributing to their well-being through quality food service.
