Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team as a Lead Teacher.
You will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for toddlers (ages 18 months-3 years).
You will complete and execute daily lesson plans, foster social-emotional growth, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure each child receives the best care and education possible.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, ensuring a collaborative and positive atmosphere.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress.
- E nsure classroom safety, cleanliness, and adherence to state licensing regulations.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and milestones.
- Foster independence, problem-solving, and curiosity through play-based learning.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and well-being.
