This position supports senior and department management in maintaining compliance with bank and investor guidelines, as they pertain to servicing residential mortgage loans. Specifically, this position is responsible for managing the CRES Collections Team and maintaining best-in-class delinquency rates through effective calling campaigns, efficient loss mitigation negotiation efforts, and, if necessary, making the sound decision to foreclose.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervises all aspects of the CRES Collections unit
- Will assist with personnel items such as hiring, coaching and disciplinary actions
- Conducts internal department audits to ensure regulatory and Investor compliance
- Creates and modifies workflows and processes to promote efficiency
- Develop, maintain and administer policies and procedures established and guided by the bank, investor, and/or regulatory agencies in order to remain in compliance
- Ensures CRES Collections unit adheres to all investor, federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines
- Maintains quality control measures to minimize delinquency rates
- Administers pre-foreclosure workflow functions (NY90/PA91; CBA’s; Breaches, etc.) to ensure Legal/Foreclosure tam and proceed with legal actions to protect Bank’s collateral
- Acts as department trainer for collections system
- Assists and support with responding to department audits conducted by internal and external agencies and investors
- Collaborate with department and team leadership on all aspects of consumer real estate default management
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion
Ancillary Duties:
As an integral member of the Consumer Real Estate Servicing Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Consumer Real Estate Servicing Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
Qualifications:
Education, Training and Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. degree (or relatable work experience) required
- Business field of study strongly preferred
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Skills:
- Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Thorough knowledge of Excel
- Able to demonstrate ability to analyze data from reports/workbooks
- Proficient communicative skills
- Ability to create, implement, and maintain workflows based on regulatory guidelines
- Highly organized; results driven with competency to meet demands of proficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency

Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Collections/Loss Mitigation or Servicing Real Estate Loans preferred

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:30 with some evenings, weekends and Holidays required
