TITLE: Universal Banker I
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide exceptional customer service to bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments in the bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Determine customers' financial service needs and sell services or products that address those needs.
- Balance cash drawers as required throughout the day by the Security Officer.
- Enter customers' transactions into Jack Henry’s 20/20 Teller system to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Assist in opening and processing of night depository transactions.
- Process mailed-in customer transactions.
- Responsible for customer entry into safe deposit box area.
- Assist customers with debit card inquiries.
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Provide copies of statements to customers, perform account research as needed.
- Make referrals to other departments within the Bank.
- Back up the Customer Call Center.
- Responsible for backing up other offices on an as needed basis.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree required unless status is a current high school student.
Experience - No prior experience necessary; however, prior customer service experience is desirable.
Computer Skills -
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Jack Henry's platform system a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
