What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lending Rep I - Titles position at COMMUNITY FIRST CREDIT UNION OF FLORIDA?
Role:
The Lending Representative I - Titles is primarily responsible for all functions regarding the security interest of all collateral consumer loan products including automobiles, boats, RV’s, motorcycles, and any titled vehicles and involves ongoing collateral tracking. All titles for such are to be processed, received, and tracked according to Community First and applicable state guidelines. Handles all lien releases, loan payoffs and GL reconciliations. Contacts members and DMV, including DMV in other states, in order to complete lien placement or release on behalf of the credit union. Collaborates with other employees throughout the credit union to help them with title related questions. Assists with other duties as assigned that support the department and reduce the overall risk to the credit union.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perfect, process, very and release liens and title work.
- Process loan payments and payoffs as received.
- GL reconciliation, collateral tracking and reporting.
- Assist with Employee/Member service calls, other assigned tasks including interdepartmental cross training.
Knowledge and Skills:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A high school degree or equivalent
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Courtesy and tack are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.
ADA Requirements:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled environment and outside in sometimes inclement weather.
