What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineering Supervisor position at Community First Credit Union?
As the Systems Engineering Supervisor, you'll lead a team to design, implement, secure and maintain the organization's server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure, ensuring these systems meet both the business needs for uptime as well as regulatory requirements. You will do this while also managing the delivery of projects and team members. The incumbent will be a hands on technology leader who has a passion to work collaboratively to guide the team responsible for the installation, maintenance, monitoring and support of all server and storage hardware, as well as Operating Systems and Enterprise Software used to deliver critical services to our employees and members, while promoting Community First’s mission, values, and objectives.
As Systems Engineering Supervisor, you will:
- Coordinate, prioritize, participate and escalate in the execution of the workload for the team, including tickets, operational activities, and projects
- Ensure a positive and secure experiences to our employees and members by delivering high quality and consistent processes for installing, managing, maintaining, and supporting all server, storage, and virtualization system hardware and software
- Provide the technical guidance and leadership to ensure the team delivers effective technical solutions and problem resolution by issuing corrective instructions, while consulting with co-workers and vendors and communicating to stakeholders
- Ensure technology deployments have an efficient and effective process, resulting in consistent, high quality, secure and reliable functionality after deployment
- Foster relationships with other teams by collaborating and assisting with procedure creation necessary to drive quick problem resolution
- Coordinate, communicate, and execute our Vulnerability and Lifecycle Management plan for server, storage, and virtualization hardware and software
- Ensure accurate infrastructure monitoring, management, security, and process control execution
- Analyze problems for patterns and corrective actions and work with other IT leaders to adjust processes in order to continually improve the functionality, availability and security of our Systems Infrastructure
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network including member and CFCU internal information
We're looking for a combination of:
- 5-7 years leading and driving server, storage, and virtualization technologies
- A degree in either business or information systems
- 3-5 years’ experience leading/managing projects
- Previous people leadership/management experience is preferred
- Professional communication and presentation abilities needed for extensive in person and virtual interactions with others
- Ability to motivate, influence, and/or train others in person or virtually
- Advanced technical skills in the design, implementation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Platforms, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Storage Systems, and enterprise applications such as Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Azure cloud services
- Take ownership, and work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Must be highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and skillful with time management
- Efficient with prioritizing, multitasking, problem-solving and escalations
- Local travel between Credit Union branch locations is required
