Overview:
Community First Solutions is looking for an entry level Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Beavercreek Facility (The Patterson).

Come join the Maintenance team at The Patterson, this is an entry level position in general building and grounds maintenance that can work independently or with other Maintenance staff to complete projects and work orders. Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains outside of building

Pay:
  • Starting at $16.00/HR and goes up to $19 per hour, based on professional experience.
Shifts Available: Full Time

Responsibilities:
  • Performs minor repairs such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical and other building mechanics.
  • Manages workload through work order system, working to complete high priority items before the end of work shift.
  • Completes work orders within an acceptable period of time.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisor and team about issues or facility concerns.
  • Maintains positive cooperative working relationship by working, acting, and communicating with various personalities, getting along with residents, co-workers, families, contractors and visitors.
  • Respectfully communicate with residents, families, and staff regarding any maintenance issues.
  • Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions and issues within the facility.
  • Troubleshoot phone, TV, and other electronic issues for residents.
  • Performs tasks such as changing lightbulbs, carpet cleaning, moving furniture, etc.
  • Assist other maintenance staff with projects and work orders.
  • Performs grounds keeping to include:
    • Mowing
    • Planting flowers, shrubs, grass and bushes.
    • Trimming shrubs, pulling weeds, and spraying weeds.
    • Spreading mulch and completes edging.
    • Snow and ice removal.
  • Operates a variety of equipment and machines including saws, power tools, mowers, blowers, and salt spreaders
  • Abides by the company Always Behaviors each and every day as we serve our clients, colleagues, and community.
All other duties as assigned and appropriate for the position.
Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses or other required certifications: Must maintain a valid driver license, vehicle liability insurance, and a good driving record

Experience: Minimum of one year experience working in a maintenance-related field preferred

Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:

  • Flexible and adaptable in coping with pressures, deadlines, and rapidly changing situations.
  • Must be open to learning new skills and improving mechanical aptitude through on the job training.
  • Be able to work basic power tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary to include email communication, and the ability to use an iPhone to complete work orders within our system.
  • Be available 24/7 for emergencies/snow removal in winter Possess mechanical aptitude
  • Possess basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Possess ability to interpret blueprints and read and comprehend operating manuals
  • Must have the desire and ability to continue to grow and learn maintenance skills
  • Must be able to work as a member of a team
  • Able to effectively and safely operate all equipment
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and have the physical mobility for bending, stooping and climbing ladders
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and possess excellent judgment.
  • Possess and exemplify a high level of customer service
