As a Resident Lifestyle Specialist you will create and orchestrate engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our Independent Living residents. This dynamic role combines creative event planning with compassionate resident engagement to foster a vibrant community atmosphere that addresses residents' psychological, social, and spiritual well-being.
This position is in charge of all components of the activities including planning the events, making the calendars, advertising/marketing on our internal software, conducts phone calls and makes reservations, and billing. They will be responsible for all the events, the set up and the clean-up, and responsible for coordinating with others in the Lifestyle department if they need assistance.
While the Specialist may be assigned to one campus as a primary work location, the duties include working within other campuses, when needed, and working collaboratively with all Resident Lifestyle team members and Directors on programming
Schedule: Full Time
Pay: $16 to $19 per hour based on years of proven experience (NON NEGOTIABLE)

May be required to work evenings and or weekends as needed.
Pay: $16 to $19 per hour based on years of proven experience (NON NEGOTIABLE)
- Initiates and promotes a variety of activities both within the facility and outside the facility to stimulate and promote resident interest, communication and general well being
- Encourage hobbies and instruct/supervise physical, social, and creative group activities
- Foster intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events, and community-based opportunities
- Plan and coordinate parties and special events in collaboration with other Lifestyle employees, culinary team, and Director of Resident Services
- Manage complete event lifecycle including set-up, decoration, facilitation, and clean-up
- Work some evenings and occasional weekends to support scheduled programming
- Order supplies, maintain inventory, and adhere to departmental budgets
- Willingness to work with coworkers, supervisors and other departments to not only plan events, but to come up with process and system improvements
- Provides prompt and accurate response to staff, resident and family inquires for information while always honoring confidentiality
- Must check voicemail and emails multiple times a day while at work to ensure there are accurate numbers of attendees for all events and activities
- Must maintain the input of information into our internal resident software that provides info via an app and a resident TV channel
- Must be familiar with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and Company’s Exposure Control policy.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licenses or other required certifications:
Experience: At least 1 year experience in leading and assisting with a variety of activities and programs, preferably with older adults
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
- Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills in working with residents, employees, families and the public
- Ability to be flexible, display dedication, sensitivity, patience, honesty, imagination and resourcefulness
- Ability to multi-task and work in environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Must be organized and detailed oriented
