Flexible Scheduling Options:
  • Full-Time with flexability to work evening and weekends as needed
Compensation:
Starting at $14.00 per hour, with higher pay based on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in carrying out engagement opportunities within the community as assigned by the Director of Engagement
  • Provide leadership and direction of activities such as games, exercise, socials and crafts
  • Assists with maintaining the Activity Participation Tracking record of resident involvement
  • Inform the nursing staff or Director of any unusual behavior of residents
  • Complete accurately and timely all paperwork required by the state
  • Purchase supplies, equipment and materials assigned by the Director of Elements
  • Supervise residents during outings and ensure safe driving of community vehicles
  • Required to attend meetings or training in related areas of the position
  • Abides by the company Always Behaviors each and every day as we serve our clients, colleagues, and community.
  • All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position
Qualifications:

Education: High School Graduate or GED

Licenses or other required certifications: Valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain active auto insurance, certified in CPR

Experience: Care experience in a senior housing setting

Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:

  • Proven leadership and organizational qualities
  • Knowledge of progression and care of dementia residents
  • Computer literate and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills in working with residents, employees, families and the public
  • Ability to be flexible, display dedication, sensitivity, patience, honesty, imagination and resourcefulness
  • Ability to multi-task and work in environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented
