We are seeking professional, mission driven STNA's that are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, to join our nursing team FULL TIME at our Senior Living Communities in Hamilton.

 

STNA REQUIRED

Pay:
  • $18.00 - $20.00/hour based on date of certification
    • PLUS: $3.00/hour shift differential for PM shift

Shifts Available:

  • Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am

Responsibilities

  • Observe Resident Rights; demonstrate respect for the resident through verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, feeding, passing and picking-up food trays, serving nourishments, keeping records of intake and output, transferring residents to and from bed or chair or other locations within the facility, assist to and from toilet, assist with any toileting needs, keep incontinent residents clean, monitor and record bowel movements, pass and empty bedpans, urinals, and emesis basins, collect specimens such as urine, stool, and sputum, reposition residents in bed or chair, assist with personal and dental hygiene, assist in ambulation, make beds, change linens, answer call lights and make rounds, provide post mortem care, take and record vital signs, measure and record height and weight.
  • Observe residents and note physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, etc. Spend as much time listening as talking. Listen to what the resident says or does not say.  Pay attention to body language.  Listen to family and friends.  Report resident/family concerns and any changes in the resident’s condition by using the provided “STOP AND WATCH” tool.
  • Use safety devices and standard precautions to prevent the spread of infection and disease.
  • Maintain safety of residents using interventions that offer the greatest degree of independence.
  • Evacuate residents in an emergency, according to fire and evacuation policy.
  • Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
  • Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents.
  • Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision.
  • Provide the skills, talents, and creativity to support the resident’s psychological core needs. Core needs include love, comfort, attachment, identity, occupation and inclusion.
  • Provide positive quality interactions to residents specific to their individual interests with a focus on retaining their skills, gifts, and the pleasures that are still available to them. Emphasize their life history.
  • Provide attitudes, responses, and actions that draw out the resident’s abilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care.
  • Use supplies and equipment economically. Gather, clean and relocate them as needed.
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Reports physical, mental and emotional changes in resident’s condition to attending nurse and physician.
  • All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • MUST be:
    • active and listed as in good standing on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
    • OR have recenlty completed STNA training program with a scheduled test date
    • OR actively enrolled in an STNA training program.
    • OR nursing student who has completed 1st term of clinicals and willing to obtain state certification (please inquire for more information).

Covid vaccine not required.

Salary : $3 - $20
