About the Campaign
Community First Whatcom builds power for working people. In 2025, we are building on past work to raise the local minimum wage and protect renters with new local ballot measures in Bellingham and Ferndale.
Essential commitments:
- Weekly shifts of voter contact, including street canvassing & knocking doors
- Have consistent and reliable transportation means
- Be able to work some evenings and have weekend availability
- Be open to growth and opportunities to develop as an organizer
- Recruit and train volunteers
As a successful candidate for the job, you will:
- Show enthusiasm for strengthening local democracy and economic justice
- Be ready to work in a diverse team and community
- Bring strong communication and organizational skills
- Feel comfortable asking others to be voters and volunteer this election
- Individuals who have been or are currently a tenant in Ferndale are especially encouraged to apply
Job Details
Field Organizer positions are expected to continue through July, however, additional opportunities are expected through the Fall and beyond. This position will be compensated at a rate of $24 per hour for 10-20 hours per week.
